abseits-soccer.com: Guide to German Soccer

Abseits is German for "offsides", and that would certainly be an apt description for this website. This site is basically a personal soccer (and beer) tour across Germany, somewhat organized (and I use that term very loosely). I pretty much write about whatever interests me, within the realm of German soccer. Also included are some worthless observations on the various regions. So if you happen to be travelling in the area, these are the real highpoints of your trip, instead of usual drivel found in tourist guides. This web site is geared to the travelling soccer fan or web surfer that wants to know the real info: what are the soccer clubs and why they rule (or why they suck), good soccer friendly pubs, what part of the stadium not to sit in to avoid fights with hooligans, and other potentially interesting info.
In addition, we hope to expand to include a useful phrasebook geared to the American traveller. This would not contain the usual crap, like "What is the best museum in town?", but rather everyday conversational terms, such as "Where is the nearest gun store?" or "You can't talk to me that way, I'm an American, damnit!!"

So, Auf gehts!
